Promotions, New Professionals and Honors at Apple Growth Partners

AKRON, Ohio (September 22, 2008) - Apple Growth Partners announced that Pamela Dunlap, a member of the firm since 2000, was promoted to Principal. A member of Accounting and Assurance team, Pam specializes in Employee Benefit Plan Services. A graduate of The Ohio State University, she is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center, the Ohio Society of Certified Public Accountants, and the Westshore Chamber of Commerce.
Christopher M. Smith, JD, LL M, was promoted to Principal – Director of Compliance Services at Flexible Benefit Systems, Inc., an affiliate company of Apple Growth Partners. Chris joined the firm in 2007 and works extensively with clients on benefit plan design and management services. He is a graduate of Kent State University, Ohio Northern School of Law, and received a Master of Laws, Taxation and Certificate in Employee Benefits Law from Georgetown University Law Center. Chris is a member of the Ohio Bar Association and the ASPPA Benefits Council of Cleveland.
The firm announced the following new professionals:
• Tim Nikles joined the firm as a Manager of Tax. Tim is a graduate of The University of Akron and is a Certified Public Accountant.
• Sean Cwynar joined the firm as an Associate on our Accounting and Assurance team. He is a recent graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University.
• Jesse Mucciarone joined the firm as an Associate on our Business Valuation/ Litigation Consulting team. Jesse is a graduate of Cleveland State University.
Honors were given to both individuals and the firm itself:
• Michelle Drago, CPA, JD was named a Thirty for the Future honoree by the Akron Area Chamber of Commerce. Michelle is a Senior Associate at Apple Growth Partners.
• Sue Peirce, CPA, MTax, Principal, was appointed to the Executive Committee of the AICPA Employee Benefit Plan Audit Quality Center by the AICPA Board of Directors.
• Apple Growth Partners was named one of the NorthCoast 99 Great Workplaces for 2008. The firm achieved the honor on its first application attempt.
